09/15/2025, 18:00The Ministry of Energy reports that, according to the plan of the Bishkek Electric Grids Enterprise, a subsidiary of OJSC «NESK», a major overhaul of 26.8 kilometres of overhead lines is planned for 2025.
In addition, 567 kilometres of overhead lines will undergo routine maintenance.
To date, energy workers have already carried out major repairs on 22.4 kilometres of overhead lines and routine repairs on 359.5 kilometres of overhead lines.
In addition, the plan provides for the replacement of 3,695 porcelain and damaged insulators and the reinforcement of 50 anchor supports. Of these, 2,539 insulators have already been replaced.
Power engineers are also trimming tree branches along the routes of overhead lines. This is necessary to prevent emergencies and ensure the safe operation of power lines. To date, 1,556 trees have been trimmed.
