09/15/2025, 11:16The Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Taalaibek Ibraev, took part in the first ministerial meeting on sustainable fuels, held on 15 September 2025 in Osaka (Japan) and co-chaired by Japan and Brazil.
The event was attended by representatives of 32 countries and international organisations.
In his speech, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev emphasised Kyrgyzstan's readiness to actively participate in global initiatives to develop sustainable fuels and integrate renewable energy sources. He noted that the country's priorities are to ensure energy security, reduce its carbon footprint and expand international cooperation in the field of green energy.
The minister particularly emphasised that Kyrgyzstan is ready to support efforts to expand the use of biofuels, hydrogen and synthetic fuels, and is also interested in conducting practical research on frequency regulation and energy system balancing in Central Asia.
According to Taalaibek Ibraev, Kyrgyzstan considers the development of sustainable fuels to be a strategic step that will not only contribute to the achievement of climate goals, but also create new opportunities for economic growth and technological development in the region.
