The KGS weakened against major currencies, while the tenge strengthened by 0.41%

On 20 January 2026, the official exchange rate of the US dollar remained at 87.4500 KGS, unchanged from 17 January.

The euro showed a slight increase of 0.14% and amounted to 101.6694 KGS. The Russian rouble remained virtually unchanged, increasing by only 0.018% to 1.1184 KGS.

The Kazakh tenge became the most dynamic currency, strengthening by 0.41% to 0.1716 KGS. The Chinese yuan also showed a slight increase of 0.08%, settling at 12.5584 KGS.
