02/16/2026, 15:34In January 2026, gross construction output in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 5.6 billion KGS, an increase of 25.7% compared to the same period last year. The main factor behind this growth was an expansion in investment in fixed capital, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The volume of investment in fixed capital for the first month of 2026 reached 6 billion KGS. This is 17.9% more than a year earlier. The growth was ensured by both internal sources of financing (+14.8%) and external ones, the volume of which increased 11.6 times.
About 90% of investments are directed to infrastructure and production projects. These include the construction of water supply facilities, waste treatment and recycling systems, energy (electricity, gas, and steam), manufacturing enterprises, educational institutions, hotels and restaurants, as well as housing.
Thus, the construction sector remains one of the fastest growing segments of the economy.
