Construction of a residential complex in Osh has been suspended; the company has been fined 200,000 KGS

Construction of a five-storey residential complex comprising 23 blocks in Osh has been suspended following the discovery of breaches of safety regulations. The contractor has been fined 200,000 KGS.

The violations were identified by the Osh City Office of the State Department for Architectural and Construction Control during an inspection of the construction site at 152/1 Ishmatov Street.

According to the department, the construction and installation works were being carried out in breach of technical standards and safety requirements. There were no safety barriers at the site, and workers were not provided with protective clothing or personal protective equipment.

Following the inspection, a report was drawn up against ‘Bussol’ LLC. The company was fined 200,000 KGS, and construction has been temporarily suspended until the breaches have been fully rectified.
