The Forensic Service earned nearly 14 million KGS from paid services in 2025

The Forensic Service under the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic received approximately 14 million KGS in revenue from paid services in 2025. The results of the work were summarised at a meeting of the SES board.

During the reporting period, the service received 7,268 orders and decisions on the appointment of expert examinations from law enforcement and judicial authorities. Experts conducted 6,285 expert examinations, with almost 88% of them being of medium and high complexity.

The SES notes an increase in the number of initial expert examinations and a decrease in repeat and commission examinations. According to the service's assessment, this trend indicates an improvement in the quality of expert conclusions and a reduction in the need for additional checks.

The main workload still fell on the central office, which handled about 66% of all assignments, but the workload of regional divisions, including the Southern Division, has grown significantly.

The largest number of expert examinations were carried out in the fields of automotive, forensic, linguistic, religious, ballistic, trace evidence and explosives investigations. The main initiators of appointments remain the internal affairs agencies, accounting for almost 80% of the total number.

Traditionally, the largest number of expert examinations are appointed in Bishkek, Chui and Osh regions.
