Merino sheep will be brought to the Talas region from Russia

One hundred Merino sheep will be brought to the Talas region. This was reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

The ministry noted that sheep shearing is currently in full swing on the farm. A total of 6,000 Merino sheep are kept on the farm. In January this year, there were 5,000 sheep.

“Each sheep produces 64-70% high-quality wool weighing 4 to 7 kilograms,” the report said.

The wool of this breed is soft and fine. After shearing, the wool is sorted, packaged, and then sold to a wool processing company at a price of 200-250 KGS per kilogram.

Merino sheep are best suited to the climatic conditions of Kyrgyzstan, grow quickly, gain weight, and are valued for their wool.
