06/04/2025, 12:16The draft of the updated law on public procurement provides for an important change that will increase transparency and fairness of tender procedures. Bakyt Junushov, head of the methodology department of the State Procurement Department, told about it.
Previously, purchasing organizations had the opportunity to reject suppliers' bids on the grounds of “insignificant compliance” or “insignificant non-compliance,” which led to subjective decisions and uncertainty.
According to the new draft law, such provisions are excluded.
“Now, bids will either fully comply with the requirements or be rejected outright. This will minimize the risk of unjustified rejections and increase confidence in the procurement system,” he said.
According to the bill, this change will strengthen the principles of openness and fair competition in the tender market.
