09/01/2026, 09:44In January–July 2026, the average daily turnover from the sale and repair of motor vehicles in Bishkek amounted to approximately 3.28 billion KGS. Akchabar carried out these calculations based on city statistics.
Over the seven-month period, the total volume of wholesale and retail trade, as well as car and motorbike repairs, reached 696.4 billion KGS. Calculated over 212 calendar days, this amounts to approximately 3.28 billion KGS per day.
The bulk of the turnover came from wholesale trade – 449.99 billion KGS, or an average of 2.12 billion KGS per day.
Retail trade, excluding cars and fuel, accounted for around 814.4 million KGS of daily turnover. Sales of cars and motorbikes totalled 188.5 million KGS, motor fuel 153.2 million, and car maintenance and repairs 6.2 million KGS.
Compared with January–July 2025, the physical volume of trade increased by 7 per cent.
Taking into account not only retail trade but also other market services, the total business turnover in Bishkek amounted to 926.6 billion KGS. This is equivalent to approximately 4.37 billion KGS per day. Retail trade and car repairs accounted for 75.2 per cent of the city’s total market services.
