07/15/2026, 13:23The volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in January–May 2026 amounted to 2.4 billion US dollars.
Compared with the same period in 2025, the figure rose by 6%, according to statistics.
This growth was mainly driven by an increase in imports. Over the first five months of 2026, imports from EAEU countries rose by 8.3%, whilst Kyrgyzstan’s exports to the union’s member states, by contrast, fell by 3.2%.
Russia and Kazakhstan remain Kyrgyzstan’s main trading partners among the EAEU countries. Russia accounted for 67.8% of the republic’s total trade with the union, whilst Kazakhstan accounted for 29.8%.
Thus, more than 97% of Kyrgyzstan’s trade with the EAEU is accounted for by these two countries. The remainder is accounted for by Belarus and other member states of the union.
