According to Khamrayev, the current legislation does not limit the number of cards that citizens can open in one name, which leads to a situation when some people become owners of dozens, and sometimes hundreds of cards. This, in turn, opens up opportunities for the use of cards by fraudsters in schemes to withdraw funds.
The deputy head of the Central Bank noted that at the moment the exact number of cards that will be allowed per person has not been determined. The Central Bank continues to analyze the situation and is considering options aimed at finding an optimal solution.
