The new mechanism requires tour operators to provide insurance cover for their customers in the event of illness or accident. The insurance must cover the costs of medical care and the consequences of incidents occurring during the trip.
The authorities expect that the new rules will improve protection for tourists and reduce their financial risks in the event of an insured incident.
The resolution will come into force ten days after its official publication.
