Teachers and doctors were proposed to be placed in a separate queue for housing by the GEC

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Eldar Abakirov proposed to allocate a separate queue for teachers and doctors for housing through the State Mortgage Company (SMC). He said this would help support education and healthcare.

Eldar Abakirov recalled that the country lacks more than 3,600 primary school teachers due to the transition to 12-year schooling. To solve this problem, the Education Ministry plans to hire university graduates and final-year students.

He also noted that the average salary across the country is KGS 40,000, while teachers earn only KGS 26,000. Because of this, many do not have their own housing and have to wait in the general queue for a long time. The MP believes that a separate queue will help to attract and retain specialists in these important areas.
