04/15/2026, 11:14During a working visit to the Osh Region, President Sadyr Zhaparov reviewed the state and progress of socio-economic development in the Uzgen District.
The information was presented to the Head of State by Kanybek Apbasov, the akim of the Uzgen District. The presentation outlined the results of infrastructure and investment projects, as well as the priority areas for the region’s further development.
It was noted that in 2025, a number of social and infrastructure facilities were commissioned in the region. Significant attention is being paid to the development of the industrial sector. As part of the development of local government, several municipal enterprises have been established, including a sand and gravel extraction enterprise.
Key objectives for 2026 were also outlined. In particular, plans include the commissioning of five schools and four nurseries, as well as the opening of new small and medium-sized enterprises.
Attention has been given to the implementation of municipal and investment projects. These include: the construction of a municipal livestock market in the Zhazy aiyl aimak, the commissioning of the ‘Bereke’ municipal market in the Tort-Kul aiyl aimak, and the launch of the municipal enterprise for the packaging and export of Uzgen rice, Eco Uzgen Kuruch.
