The money was allocated to 357 facilities, said Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev at a meeting of the president's representative office in the region.
The bulk of the expenditure went to social infrastructure — 242 projects. This included funding for the construction and renovation of 133 schools, 57 kindergartens, 17 healthcare facilities, and 35 cultural and sports facilities. A total of 3.7 billion KGS was allocated for these purposes.
Another 4 billion 348 million KGS were allocated to road infrastructure — work was carried out on 82 roads, including the Uzgen-Myrzake-Kara-Kulja highway (2.2 billion KGS). An additional 317.9 million KGS were allocated for 13 water supply facilities and 19 irrigation systems.
The region received 1 billion 329 million KGS in the form of interbudgetary transfers. In total, revenues from the republican budget to the Osh region amounted to about 11 billion KGS at the end of the year.
“Regional budget revenues increased from 4.731 million KGS in 2024 to 6.447 million KGS in 2025. This ensured a 2.3 million KGS increase in the execution of the state budget. However, this is not enough,” Kasymaliyev said.
