1,400 kilometers of high-voltage power lines will be repaired in the Batken region

Large-scale repair work has begun on high-voltage overhead power lines in the Batken region. The project is being implemented as part of the Ministry of Energy's plan to upgrade and modernize the energy sector.

According to the approved schedule for 2026, 20 kilometers of power lines will undergo major repairs, and another 1,380 kilometers will be covered by scheduled repairs. The work is aimed at preparing for the autumn-winter period of 2026-2027 and will be carried out in stages from March to November in the Kadamzhai, Leilek, and Batken districts.

Currently, scheduled repairs have begun on the 110 kV “Khoja-Bakirgan – Arka” and “Arka – Morskaya” overhead lines in the Sulukta section, with a total length of 7 km. The work includes replacing 190 worn-out insulators, updating line fittings, and installing modern equipment that meets technical requirements.

The main goal of the repair campaign is to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted power supply to consumers, reduce technological losses, and prevent emergency shutdowns.

It is noted that in 2025, the high-voltage overhead line service of the Batken Electric Grids Enterprise completely replaced 7,200 worn-out insulators on 220/110/35 kV lines and additionally installed 7,513 new glass insulators. Scheduled repairs covered 1,264.75 kilometers of lines, and 134.6 kilometers underwent major repairs.
