Seven blocks of the Sulyuktin coal field in the Batken Region have been put up for auction

The Kyrgyz Geological Service has announced an auction for the granting of licences for the right to use subsoil resources across seven blocks of the Sulyuktinsky brown coal deposit in the Leylek District of the Batken Region. All licences grant the right to develop the deposits.

The plots put up for auction are ‘Kara-Bulak’, ‘Western Field No. 8’, ‘Field No. 4’, ‘Southern Part of Mine No. 5’, ‘North-1’, ‘Southern Part of Mine No. 4’ and ‘South-Eastern Part of Field No. 12’.

The starting prices for the lots are as follows:

  • the ‘Kara-Bulak’ plot – 23,915 KGS;
  • ‘Western Field No. 8’ – 24,495 KGS;
  • ‘Field No. 4’ – 24,040 KGS;
  • ‘Southern part of Mine No. 5’ – 23,985 KGS;
  • ‘North-1’ – 24,021 KGS;
  • ‘Southern part of Mine No. 4’ – 23,931 KGS;
  • ‘South-Eastern part of Field No. 12’ – 23,966 KGS.

The auction will take place on 14 August at 10:00 at the building of the Leylek District State Administration in Batken Region. Registration of participants will begin at 09:00.

Documents for participation will be accepted up to and including 10 August at the Kyrgyz Geological Service in Bishkek. The winners of the auction will be granted licences for the right to develop the relevant sections of the deposit.
