02/09/2025, 11:06In Pervomaisky district of Bishkek, evacuation of long abandoned cars interfering with traffic and improvement of the urban environment took place.
The initiative of Mayor Aibek Junushaliev is aimed at improving road safety and traffic flow. The work was carried out by the Pervomaisky District Administration together with the Municipal Territorial Department No. 15, the Police Patrol Service Department and the District Police Department.
On the section of Volkova Street, between Patrice-Lumumba and Sadygaliev Streets, six cars that had been idle for a month to several years were removed. Before the evacuation, the owners were given notices and posted notices on the cars, as well as conducted explanatory work with car owners and service stations. The vacated space will help reduce congestion and make the movement of pedestrians and motorists more comfortable.
The mayor's office said that the work on cleaning the streets from derelict vehicles will continue. Drivers are urged not to leave cars without traffic for a long period of time, to observe parking rules and to take into account the interests of all road users.
