Bishkek's budget for 2026 will amount to 32.9 billion KGS

Today, hearings on the draft budget of the city of Bishkek for 2026 were held at the Tunguch Theatre. The event was attended by city residents, deputy mayors, BGC deputies and heads of city and district services of the capital.

First Deputy Mayor Mirlanbek Baigonchokov noted that over the past five years, the capital's budget has tripled, allowing for the implementation of large-scale projects aimed at benefiting every resident.

Ruslan Sadyrbaev, head of the Bishkek Financial Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, presented the draft budget for 2026. The actual budget revenue of the city for 2025 amounted to 30.5 billion KGS, which exceeded the plan by 1.1 billion KGS. The city's expenditures last year reached 30.7 billion KGS, with the bulk of the funds going towards infrastructure development, public amenities, roads and safety in educational institutions. An additional 2.9 billion KGS was allocated from the Stabilisation Fund.

For 2026, the revenue side of the budget is projected at 32.9 billion KGS. The funds will be allocated to the construction and repair of roads, engineering networks, social facilities, improvement and greening of areas, as well as other socially significant projects.

During the hearings, citizens asked questions about gasification, sewerage, roads, social facilities and transport. All appeals were taken into account, and the relevant services were instructed to implement them.
