Corporate secretary training programme launches in Bishkek

On 26 September, a certification educational programme entitled ‘Corporate Secretary’ will commence in Bishkek, organised by the Chamber of Independent Directors of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The programme aims to train specialists in the field of corporate governance and raise business standards in the country and the region. The training course includes four modules:

• the basics of the corporate secretary profession,
• legal aspects of corporate governance,
• finance for non-financial managers,
• and the development of communication skills.

The training will last until 9 November and includes 72 academic hours of classes, as well as a final exam. Successful participants will receive a certificate from the Chamber of Independent Directors of the Kyrgyz Republic confirming their qualification as a certified corporate secretary.

The programme is being implemented as part of a regional initiative by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to develop ESG practices in Europe and Central Asia, with the support of the Swiss government.
