Bishkek will install “smart” intercoms and video surveillance. The money will be allocated by RKFR

An agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to allocate $2.2 million for the digitalization of urban infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan. The funds will be provided by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) to the Internet provider Skynet Telecom.

The project is being implemented in partnership with the Russian company Ufanet. As part of the initiative, “smart” intercoms and video surveillance systems will be installed in apartment buildings in Bishkek, which will operate via high-speed Internet. The equipment will be supplied by Russian manufacturers.

According to Artem Novikov, head of RKFR, the project meets the goals of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2030 and is aimed at introducing modern and safe solutions in the residential sector.

The pilot has already started and more than 100 houses in Bishkek are waiting to be connected. In the future, similar technologies are planned to be introduced in other areas - construction, hospitality and services.

In addition, at SPIEF, Skynet Telecom signed an agreement with the Russian company Ivideon to create an intelligent platform for video surveillance and analytics for Kyrgyz companies.
