The total cost of the project is estimated at about $2 million, of which $930,000 was invested by the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Development Fund.
The factory is designed to produce up to 100,000 garments per month, and 300 jobs have been created. The production is oriented both to the domestic market and export to the EAEU countries.
The opening of the enterprise fits into the initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers on the annual launch of one hundred industrial facilities. In 2025 it is planned to open 134 enterprises, of which 76 have been put into operation so far.
In the first eight months of this year, the output of the garment industry in the country grew by 15.6 per cent year-on-year. The implementation of the KG TEX project is seen as an example of effective co-operation between the state, business and international partners, contributing to the strengthening of export potential and job creation.
