07/11/2026, 12:50Plans are in place to create a 202-hectare industrial zone in the Chui District. Fourteen potential tenants have already been identified, who are prepared to invest more than $390 million in the projects.
Bakyt Torobaev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Special Representative for Special Assignments, has reviewed the progress of the industrial zone project. The site has already been reclassified as industrial land.
Potential investors intend to carry out projects in the fields of pharmaceuticals, the manufacture of building materials, mechanical engineering, instrument-making, the food industry and the processing of agricultural produce. The projects are expected to create new jobs, increase industrial output and boost the country’s export potential.
The meeting also discussed the construction of engineering infrastructure — ensuring the area’s supply of electricity, water and sewerage services. Following the meeting, the relevant government bodies were instructed to determine the mechanism for connecting the industrial zone to the necessary utilities and to set deadlines for the completion of priority works.
