Power networks in the Jalal-Abad region are being upgraded ahead of winter

In the Jalal-Abad Region, 816 power line pylons have been replaced as part of preparations for the autumn–winter period.

In the Jalal-Abad Region, the modernisation of electricity distribution networks is continuing as part of preparations for the 2026–2027 autumn–winter period. The work is being carried out by the Jalal-Abad Electricity Network Enterprise, a branch of OJSC ‘National Electricity Grid of Kyrgyzstan’, on behalf of the Ministry of Energy.

Since the start of the year, 816 reinforced concrete power line pylons have been installed in the region. Of these, 694 are of the SV-105-3.5 type and 122 are of the SV-95-2 type, replacing obsolete wooden structures.

The largest volume of work has been carried out in the Nooken District, where 228 new pylons have been installed, followed by 182 in the Suzak District and 124 in the Toktogul District. Work has also been carried out in the Aksy, Ala-Buk, Bazar-Korgon, Kara-Kul, Mailuu-Sui, Tash-Kumyr and Chatkal districts, as well as in the Manas and Kok-Art electricity network districts.

By November 2026, the region plans to install a further 281 reinforced concrete pylons of the SV-105 and SV-95 types.

The energy company notes that replacing wooden poles with reinforced concrete ones will improve the reliability of the electricity supply, reduce the number of emergency power cuts and provide consumers with a higher-quality and uninterrupted electricity supply.
