06/27/2025, 13:04The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) intends to support the introduction of robotic systems in the industry of the EAEU countries. This was stated by EEC Minister for Industry and Agro-industry Gohar Barseghyan in Minsk at the EEF-2025 round table “Application of robotic systems as a factor of growth of competitiveness of industrial enterprises”.
Barseghyan underlined that automation and robotization today is one of the key factors of competitiveness growth, especially in industry and agro-industrial complex, where there is a shortage of qualified personnel. Leading countries of the world already use from 100 to 1 thousand robots for every 10 thousand workers, and the EAEU countries should strive for similar indicators.
The Eurasian Technological Platform “Robotics” is already being created within the Union and an interstate program “Industrial Robotics” is being developed. The goal is to achieve mass introduction of industrial and service robots in the next five years.
"The Commission is ready to provide financial support to specific investment projects aimed at mass production of robots and modernization of production enterprises. Now we are already at the stage of selecting suitable cooperation initiatives," Gohar Barseghyan informed.
