02/08/2025, 16:17The headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) hosted a meeting of heads of antimonopoly authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries. Under the chairmanship of Maxim Ermolovich, Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the EEC, the participants discussed topical issues of competition policy, law enforcement and regulation in the cross-border markets of the Union.
Special attention was paid to the interaction between the EEC and national agencies, including within the framework of proactive competition assessments. The criteria by which markets can be recognized as cross-border and the mechanisms of their regulation were considered. The participants confirmed their intention to continue joint work in the previously agreed areas.
The meeting was also attended by a representative of Uzbekistan, which has the status of an observer state at the EAEU. This confirms the country's interest in the Union's competition policy issues and possible deepening of cooperation in this area.
