According to the director of the NCCT, the country is implementing the national programme «Healthy Heart», one of the key objectives of which is to create a new model of a high-tech cardiovascular cluster based on the centre.
As part of the modernisation, an international-level expert centre for X-ray surgery has already been created. In addition, the «Acute Myocardial Infarction 24/7» programme has been successfully implemented, thanks to which more than a thousand patients have received timely assistance and returned to a full life.
Today, the NCTI provides high-tech care free of charge: it performs operations to install stents and pacemakers, conducts radiofrequency ablation for heart rhythm disorders and other modern interventions.
Particular attention is being paid to the development of regional cardiology centres. They will begin operating in Balykchy, Talas and Naryn this year. The equipment has been purchased and will be installed in the near future.
In addition, work has begun on the creation of an integrated system for the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases at the district level using digital technologies. This will allow even the most remote villages to quickly diagnose acute heart attacks and determine treatment tactics in conjunction with specialists from the centre.
