This irrigation project is being implemented by the Kadamzhai District Water Management Authority. To date, a 2,500-metre section has already been excavated and pipes are being laid. Once the project is fully implemented, the new canal will be connected to the Gorotu Canal, which will significantly increase irrigation capacity. As a result, more than 800 hectares of agricultural land in the villages of Sur, Molo, Chechme, Ormosh,
Teskay and Bel Birlik ayyl okmotu will be stably supplied with irrigation water.
In addition, another important project for the development of agriculture is being implemented in the Kadamzhai district. The district water management department has begun to develop 200 hectares of land with the installation of a modern drip irrigation system. Currently, the first well has already been drilled to a depth of 140 metres, and work is continuing on the installation of casing pipes.
These measures are aimed at providing farmers suffering from a shortage of irrigation water with clean water and increasing crop yields. In addition, they open up new opportunities for the development of horticulture in the region.
