12/03/2024, 11:39The construction of a new international airport has been completed in the city of Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region.
The new airport terminal's total area is about 8,000 square meters. It can accommodate up to 250 passengers per hour.
In addition, the runway of the Karakol airport was lengthened by 400 meters, which allows the airport to receive twin-engine medium-haul aircraft.
The press service of Manas International Airport told the Akchabar news agency that the opening is expected to take place on 10 December with the participation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
Karakol Airport is expected to become a key link in the region's tourism development, attracting more travelers from abroad.
