Almost 21 million foreigners entered Kyrgyzstan in 2025

The number of foreign citizens crossing the state border in Kyrgyzstan has increased significantly. According to the results of 2025, the inflow of visitors increased by 18.6% compared to 2024, the border service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Statistics show a steady increase in the number of foreign citizens visiting Kyrgyzstan.

  • 2023 — 17,480,097 people;
  • 2024 — 17,682,929 people (an increase of 1.2%);
  • 2025 – 20,978,965 people (18.6% by 2024);

Total border traffic:

In 2025, a total of 37,050,223 people crossed the state border of Kyrgyzstan. Of these:

  • 18,574,022 people entered the country;
  • 18,476,201 people left;

In addition, 3,260,642 vehicles crossed the border, of which 1,690,357 entered Kyrgyzstan.

Simultaneously with the growth in traffic, control over compliance with border and migration legislation was strengthened.

In 2025, 28,593 people with invalid documents were identified, of whom 28,006 citizens were denied entry and 2,031 people were deported for violating the rules of stay.

The Border Service notes that the increase in the number of foreign citizens is due to the development of tourist infrastructure, the expansion of international routes, and the growth of business and investment contacts.
