180 million som have been allocated for the purchase of electric buses for the Talas Region

In the coming days, plans are in place to purchase 30 new electric buses for the Talas Region. This was announced by Ermat Dzhumayev, the President’s authorised representative in the Talas Region.

According to him, with the support of President Sadyr Zhaparov, the purchase of 30 modern electric buses from Yutong is planned to provide the residents of Talas city and the region’s districts with high-quality public transport.

The initiative aims to address the transport challenges faced by the region’s residents, as well as to create comfortable and modern conditions for travel. On the President’s instructions, 180 million soms have been allocated for the lease purchase of the electric buses.

Once fully charged, Yutong electric buses are capable of travelling up to 200 kilometres without recharging. The delegation tested the vehicles during a test drive, familiarising themselves with their technical specifications, quality and capabilities. It is noted that the electric buses are distinguished by their comfort, power and modern features.

A corresponding agreement will be signed in the coming days, after which 30 electric buses will be delivered to the Talas region within two months.

It is expected that, to mark the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence, the new electric buses will be formally handed over to the region’s residents on behalf of the country’s president.

It is noted that the implementation of the project will make a significant contribution to the development of the region’s public transport system and to improving the quality of life for the population.
