07/31/2026, 08:43The volume of banknotes and coins in circulation in Kyrgyzstan reached 317 billion KGS by the end of June. This is according to the National Bank’s statement of financial position.
Over the course of the year, the amount of cash in circulation increased by 41.7 billion KGS, or 15.2 per cent. As at 30 June 2025, the figure stood at 275.3 billion KGS.
Banknotes and coins remain the National Bank’s largest liability. They account for almost half of the regulator’s total liabilities, which stood at 644 billion KGS at the end of June, compared with 555.3 billion KGS a year earlier.
