Kyrgyzstan is set to become a contender for a world record: a glass bridge will be built in Ala-Archa

Plans are underway to build a 732-meter-long glass suspension bridge in the Ala-Archa State Nature Park. Once completed, it could become the longest structure of its kind in the world and be eligible for inclusion in the Guinness World Records.

The project was discussed by Kanybek Tumanbaev, the President’s Chief of Staff, and representatives of a European company. During the meeting, the parties inspected the site where construction is planned.

According to the plans, work will begin in November 2026, and the project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027. However, the name of the European company that will carry out the construction and the project’s cost have not yet been disclosed.

In addition to the bridge, there are plans to develop an eco-friendly hiking trail in the park, stretching from the Tepshi Plateau to Mount Teke-Too and the waterfall.

As a reminder, a cable car has already been put into operation at Ala-Archa, and vacation homes have been built there. Construction of a five-star hotel is also in its final stages.

These new facilities are intended to expand the park’s tourism infrastructure and attract more local and international visitors.
