President Sadyr Zhaparov has signed a decree establishing the National Council for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The new body will coordinate state policy in this area and promote innovation and investment.

The Council is tasked with developing strategic directions for the regulation of digital assets, improving the investment climate, adapting national legislation to international standards and assisting foreign companies operating in the blockchain sector.

The Council's secretariat will serve as its executive body and will be headed by the director of the National Investment Agency under the President. The creation of this structure is intended to strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in the international arena and integrate the country into the global digital economy.
