In Kyrgyzstan, an innovation centre has been renamed to facilitate the commercialisation of scientific research

The Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers has renamed the ‘Innovation Centre’ under the Ministry of Science as the ‘Centre for Technology Transfer and Innovation’. The organisation will promote the integration of scientific research into business and the economy.

The resolution was signed by the Prime Minister, Adylbek Kasymaliev, on 12 October 2026.

The aim of the changes is to establish cooperation between science, education, business and the state, as well as to ensure the commercialisation of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities.

The reorganisation will be carried out within the limits of the Ministry’s current staffing levels and available funds.
