Kyrgyzstan has introduced a ban on the export of ferrous metal scrap and waste

The Cabinet of Ministers has imposed a temporary ban on the export of ferrous metal scrap and waste, as well as ferrous metal ingots for remelting (batch ingots) from Kyrgyzstan. The relevant decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliyev.

According to the document, a temporary ban for a period of six months has been imposed on the export from Kyrgyzstan of ferrous metal scrap and waste, ferrous metal ingots for remelting (charge ingots), classified under code 7204 of the EAEU Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Classification, which will come into effect three days after the date of entry into force of the resolution.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Customs Service and the Border Service are instructed to take the necessary measures specified in the decree.

The decree shall enter into force ten days after its official publication.
