Kyrgyzstan to launch export accelerators for the light manufacturing sector

Kyrgyzstan plans to launch export accelerators for light manufacturing enterprises. This was announced by Urmat Takirov, head of ‘Kyrgyzexport’, at the ‘Reboot’ forum.

According to him, the programme aims to prepare companies to enter foreign markets and boost their competitiveness. As part of the accelerators, enterprises will be helped to adapt their products to the requirements of foreign markets, implement quality standards and establish effective sales channels.

Particular emphasis will be placed on systematic work with clothing manufacturers — one of the key segments of the country’s light industry.

“The aim is not simply to get companies to export, but to prepare them for sustainable operation in new markets”, — noted Takirov.

The programme also provides support for businesses at every stage — from analysing target markets to finding partners and participating in international exhibitions.

It is expected that the launch of the accelerators will expand the sector’s export potential and increase the share of value-added products.

The initiative is being implemented as part of the policy to support exports and diversify Kyrgyzstan’s economy.
