Kyrgyzstan has updated its property tax calculation rules

Kyrgyzstan has changed the procedure for calculating property tax. The State Tax Service reports that amendments to the Tax Code came into force on October 29, introducing automatic property tax calculation and simplifying the calculation system.

The main innovation is the elimination of the need to submit information calculations for land in populated areas, non-agricultural land, as well as for non-residential buildings and premises. Instead of the previous categories, there are now three types of tax: on residential property, on non-residential property, and on agricultural land.

Tax breaks for pensioners are also being introduced. They will not have to pay tax on land adjacent to their homes, garden plots, or vegetable gardens. The changes are aimed at simplifying the system and reducing the administrative burden on citizens.
