In his speech, he noted that supporting women in business is not just a social task, but a strategic tool for sustainable economic growth, employment, and unlocking the country's potential. According to Bolotov, measures are already being implemented in Kyrgyzstan as part of the Women's Entrepreneurship Support Program: preferential loans are being issued, training courses have been launched, digital services are being developed, and social bonds are being introduced.
The Code was developed by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the EBRD in partnership with the Ministry of Economy. The document is a multilateral initiative aimed at expanding women's access to finance. The Code is based on three key principles: leadership from top management, collection and analysis of gender-disaggregated data, and the development of products tailored to the needs of women entrepreneurs. The project is being implemented through a coalition of financial institutions and a data analysis system for women's SMEs.
To date, 10 leading organizations have joined the Code, including Bakai Bank, Optima Bank, Ayyl Bank, Bank Kompanyon, and microfinance companies. This is a step towards creating an inclusive economy in which every woman has not only the opportunity but also the real tools to run her own business.
