There have been changes in the Bishkek City Council, with new deputy mayors and a new head of the education department

There have been personnel changes at Bishkek City Hall. The relevant orders were signed by the capital’s mayor, Aibek Junushaliyev.

Deputy Mayors Viktoria Mozgacheva and Azamat Kadyrov have been relieved of their posts following their move to other roles.

Rahat Musaeva has been appointed acting deputy mayor for social affairs. In addition, Zhanybek Orozaliev has been appointed director of the Bishkek City Hall’s Department of Education.

Muratbek Atay has taken up the post of Acting Deputy Mayor for Land Use, Architecture, Construction and Digitalisation.

The personnel changes have also affected the district administrations. An official investigation has been ordered into the conduct of Chynara Zhanykeeva, Deputy Akim for Social Affairs of the Pervomaisky District, and Baktygul Ismailova, Deputy Akim for Social Affairs of the Leninsky District. Both officials have been suspended from their posts for the duration of the investigation.
