The Ministry of Energy summarised the results for the first nine months of 2025

The heads of the relevant departments reported on the work completed and plans for the future.

The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting of energy companies and institutions on the results of the first nine months of 2025. The meeting was attended by a representative of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev, his deputies, as well as heads of enterprises and branches of the fuel and energy complex.

The heads of the relevant departments reported on the work completed and plans for the future. Minister Ibraev emphasised the need to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the population in the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026, noting the importance of responsibility and high quality of services provided.

According to the Ministry of Energy, in the first nine months of this year, total electricity consumption in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 13.8 billion kilowatt-hours, while production reached 11.3 billion kilowatt-hours.

Of these:

• 9.7 kilowatt-hours were produced at large hydroelectric power plants;
• 0.18 billion kilowatt-hours were produced at small hydroelectric power plants;
• 0.16 billion kilowatt-hours were produced at mini hydroelectric power plants;
• 1.3 billion kilowatt-hours were produced at thermal power plants;
• 0.7 million kilowatt-hours were produced at solar power plants;

In addition, 2.7 billion kilowatt-hours were imported into the country.
