The event was attended by Chinara Mambetalieva, Deputy Director of the EEC's Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department.
She emphasised that the implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards — international rules for good manufacturing practice — plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of medicines.
‘Compliance with GMP rules determines the quality, effectiveness and safety of medicines, and therefore the health of the population. The introduction of uniform standards has significantly improved the quality of medicines, the qualifications of pharmaceutical company specialists and the training system,’ Mambetalieva noted.
In addition, the EEC representative took part in the session ‘Common Market for Medicinal Products for Medical Use in the EAEU,’ where issues of regulatory interaction and uniform requirements for the Union countries were discussed.
As a reminder, GMP is an international system of standards that regulates the production and quality control of medicines, guaranteeing their safety and effectiveness.
