10/07/2026, 15:21President Sadyr Zhaparov today opened a new residential complex comprising 216 flats in the city of Naryn. Another complex comprising 217 flats was launched in the Kochkor District via an online ceremony.
The residential complexes feature children’s play areas, sports facilities, leisure areas, car parks and office space. According to the President, the construction of affordable housing in the regions will continue.
By the end of 2026, it is planned to complete the construction of more than 20,000 flats in Batken, Tokmok, Kara-Balta, Manas, Karakol, Cholpon-Ata and several other districts across the country.
Separately, Zhaparov highlighted a shortage of staff in the Naryn region. To attract specialists, 20 flats in Naryn are to be transferred to the municipal authority, whilst a further 20 service flats are to be handed over to the Ormon-Khan aiyl okmotu in the Kochkor District.
According to the President, around 150,000–200,000 families across the country are in need of affordable housing.
