Strawberry plantations will appear on 14 hectares in the Nooqen district

In August 2025, in the village of Nooqen, Jalal-Abad region, the agricultural seed production cooperative «KENCH» began implementing a project to plant 14 hectares of strawberry plantations using drip irrigation technology.

Work is currently underway to lay agricultural film and install drip irrigation pipes. It is planned to plant 700,000 strawberry seedlings on the prepared area.

Italian varieties Alba and Clery, which are distinguished by their high yield and fruit quality, have been selected for planting.

The use of drip irrigation ensures economical and rational use of water resources. According to calculations, a minimum amount of water is required to irrigate 0.50 hectares.
The project aims to introduce modern agricultural technologies in the Nooqen district, increase export potential and expand the production of high-quality agricultural products.
