03/23/2026, 18:00In the Aravan district of the Osh region, State Security Committee officers shut down an illegal gambling establishment. According to the State Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, it was organised by a deputy of the Dobo-Korgon Aiyl Kenesh and his representative.
According to the security service, the underground establishment was operating in the village of Zhar-Kyshtak without the necessary permits and without paying taxes to the state budget. During a search of the premises, 11 computers were discovered, which were used to access various online casinos, as well as 400,000 KGS in cash and other items used for organising gambling.
On the basis of the evidence gathered, the suspects were charged under the article on the illegal organisation of gambling activities. On 19 March 2026, by a decision of the Osh City Court, they were remanded in custody and placed in the pre-trial detention centre of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
