Prices in the Osh Region rose by 12.5 per cent over six months

Between January and June 2026, consumer prices and tariffs in Kyrgyzstan rose across all regions of the country. The most significant increase was recorded in the Osh Region — up 12.5 per cent compared with December 2025.

The main contributor to this rise was utility charges for household services, which increased by 21.8 per cent. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products rose by 17.3 per cent, whilst non-food goods rose by 9.8 per cent.

However, the most significant rise in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region – up 8.9 per cent over the first six months of the year.

Thus, in the Osh Region, the overall rise in prices was driven primarily by services and certain categories of non-food goods, whilst in Issyk-Kul, food and non-alcoholic drinks saw the most noticeable price increases.

In 2025, the inflow of foreign direct investment into the leisure and tourism sector in Kyrgyzstan totalled $87.8 million. By way of comparison, the figure for the previous year was $11.2 million. Thus, the volume of investment increased by almost 7.9 times.

Kyrgyzstan’s state budget revenue in the first half of 2026 rose by 48.8 per cent compared with the same period last year. According to data from the Central Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, they amounted to 455.5 billion KGS.
