Clean drinking water will be available in the villages of the Chatkal district

In the villages of Zhan-Bazar, Kurulush and Ak-Tash in the Kanyish-Kya district of the Chatkal district of the Jalal-Abad region, the necessary work has been carried out, design and estimate documentation has been prepared, and a state expert opinion has been obtained. The tender process for the start of construction work is currently underway.

This issue was raised by delegates from the Chatkal district at the Third People's Kurultai, held in 2024.

As a result of the project, a total of 9,800 metres of water pipes will be laid in the villages of Zhan-Bazar, Kurulush and Ak-Tash, and 1,058 households will be provided with clean drinking water.

For 2025, the ministry has approved a 410-point action plan, compiled based on the appeals of the delegates of the Third People's Kurultai. Of these, 50 measures (12%) have been implemented, 360 (88%) are in the process of being implemented, and there are no unimplemented measures.

Most of the appeals concern irrigation (60%) and the provision of drinking water to the population (23%). These strategically important areas are in the process of being implemented.
