10/12/2026, 18:07A new factory in Talas, opened with state support, plans to purchase red beans at 100 KGS per kilogramme and white beans at 137 KGS. To do this, the enterprise needs to resolve the issue of a shortage of working capital. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Erlist Akunbekov, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
According to the minister, the price of ‘tomato’ variety red beans has now fallen to 52–53 KGS per kilogramme. Previously, the price of this type of bean had not fallen so sharply.
“The market regulates prices itself. If demand were high, the price would have risen”, — noted Akunbekov.
He recalled that a new factory had recently been opened in Talas with state support. According to the minister, the factory is experiencing a shortage of working capital.
“If we resolve this issue, then, in accordance with the agreement with the factory, it will purchase ‘tomato’ variety red beans at 100 KGS and ‘lopatka’ variety white beans at 137 KGS per kilogram. I think we will resolve the funding issue within 7–10 days”, — the minister said.
Akunbekov added that once the working capital issue has been resolved, the factory will be able to start purchasing at the specified prices, which, in his view, will enable the problem of low red bean prices to be resolved promptly.
