Social Infrastructure and Tourism Potential Are Being Developed in the Tyup District

During a working visit to the Issyk-Kul Region, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev visited a number of social facilities in the Tyup District.

In the village of Tyup, the Prime Minister visited the Kaikin Secondary School, where major renovations were recently completed. The school has a capacity of 850 students, but currently serves 1,400 children.

During the visit, Adylbek Kasymaliev spoke with students and teachers, wishing the children success in their studies and the teachers productive work.

Adylbek Kasymaliev then familiarized himself with the activities of the Elebayev Centralized District Library in Tüp. The library building was constructed in 1978. The institution’s collection comprises over 52,000 volumes.

During the visit, concepts for library development were discussed. A project to establish cultural centers in the country’s regions and districts was presented to the Prime Minister. These cultural centers will house museums, libraries, coworking spaces, cafes, movie theaters, community centers, and concert halls. The relevant design and cost estimates are currently being developed.

In addition, during the working trip, plans for the social and infrastructure development of the Tyup District were presented, which include the creation of alleys and park areas, as well as the construction of social facilities.

The Prime Minister then visited the Tyup District General Medical Practice Center, where he familiarized himself with the state of the facility’s medical infrastructure.

The center’s grounds include 11 buildings, 4 of which are in poor condition and require major repairs and modernization of their engineering systems.

A 60-bed regional hospital operates on the facility’s grounds; its construction began in 2021 and was completed in 2024. The hospital includes surgical, pediatric, maternity, and intensive care units. However, due to high patient volume and a significant influx of patients, the medical facility’s current capacity remains limited.

Following the visit, Adylbek Kasymaliev instructed the relevant government agencies to promptly address issues related to the further development of the district’s social and medical infrastructure, including the construction of new buildings on the hospital grounds, as well as improving the quality and accessibility of services for the population.

As part of his working visit, the Prime Minister also reviewed the progress of the investment project to build the year-round “Karkyra” ski resort. The project involves the creation of a modern mountain resort with a well-developed tourism infrastructure.

Work is currently underway on the first phase of the project. More than ten guest houses are being built on the complex’s grounds. Technical equipment has been procured, including the main components of the cable car.

Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the region’s significant potential in the tourism sector, noting that the implementation of projects in this industry will contribute to the region’s sustainable socio-economic development.
