Uzbekistan has issued a token backed by government bonds

The national payment system HUMO has announced the launch of a pilot project to issue a token of the same name backed by Uzbekistan government bonds. The new token is being issued by a subsidiary, HUMO Digital. This is an important step in the development of innovative solutions in the financial sector of the economy. This was reported by the Uzbek payment organisation HUMO.

The HUMO token has been registered in the unified electronic register of crypto assets of the National Agency for Promising Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPP). The crypto depository Asterium is responsible for monitoring the availability and security of the collateral. The HUMO token is backed by Uzbekistan government bonds, which guarantees the stability of the token and levels out fluctuations in its value.

It is expected that the token's launch will help attract foreign investment, simplify business payments, and increase the transparency of financial transactions. The use of a secured token enhances transaction control and strengthens trust in innovative financial instruments.
